The Poetry Network is now accepting submissions. We accept poetry in all forms and formats: free verse, formal verse, experimental poetry, text-based, video, and podcasts. We’re seeking original poetry that pays attention to form, rhythm, and imagery from people of all backgrounds, but we’d especially like to build our network of women contributors. If you have work you’d like to submit to The Poetry Network, visit our submission page. All works remain the property of their authors.

This week we have new poetry by W. Isaiah Garnett (Monday, May 4th), James Rovira (Wednesday), and a new video by Chris Maxwell (Friday). Chris has recently published his first collection of poems, a slow and sudden God: 40 years of wonder, and works from that collection are occasionally featured on this site. Chris’s poetry comes out of his experience as both a caregiver and one receiving care, having suffered from viral encephalitis. His poems about everyday life cover topics like fatherhood, suffering, loss, travel, and waiting.
